## Information For MSLC Tutoring Applicants - 2018

Thank you for your interest in tutoring with the Mathematics and Statistics Learning Centre (MSLC) in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Melbourne. Please be aware of the following:

- We are unable to advise at this time how many new tutors we will require.
- As the number of applications for tutoring usually exceeds the number of tutors required, selection is competitive.
- There are two essential requirements for an applicant to be considered:
- An undergraduate major in Mathematics or Statistics (majors in Physics or Engineering are not usually considered to meet this requirement)
- A Postgraduate degree in Mathematics or Statistics (ie. Masters or PhD), either completed or currently underway (again, Masters or PhD study in Physics or Engineering are not usually considered to meet this requirement).

To be considered for a tutoring role, please forward the following to Rosie Pingitore <rosariap@unimelb.edu.au>, if you have not already done so:

- a copy of your CV
- a copy of each relevant Academic Transcript, showing details of your studies in Mathematics or Statistics

If a tutoring vacancy should arise for which your Mathematical or Statistical background appears to be a good match, we will contact you at the email address given in your CV with further information.
